Hau Lee

Stanford Business School Professor

Hau L. Lee is the Thoma Professor of Operations, Information and Technology at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.  His areas of specialization include global supply chain management, entrepreneurship and innovations in developing economies, and value chain strategy.  He is a Co-Director of the Stanford Initiative on Value Chain Innovations, and was the past Director of the Stanford Global Supply Chain Management Forum and past Director of the Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies.

Professor Lee was inducted to the US National Academy of Engineering in 2010.  He was elected a Fellow of Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, 2001; Production and Operations Management Society, 2005; and INFORMS, 2005.

Professor Lee has consulted extensively for companies for industry.  He was a co-founder of DemandTec, a price-optimization company that went public in 2007.  He is on the board of Synnex, Pericom Semiconductor Company, Frontier Services Group, Global Brands Group, Esquel, and 1010 Printing.  He is also the Chairman of the Board of SCM World.
