Lena wants to take the leadership experience that she has gained while serving as an elected official on the Alameda City Council and the Alameda Health Care District Board and apply it to BART as a Director. She can offer her skills and background in balancing budgets during tough times, facilitating collaboration between management and labor interests, and advocating for transit-oriented projects with state and federal legislators.
