China Silicon Valley recently hosted a workshop on tax credits available to companies setting up shop in California

Acting on its mission of bringing together innovative entrepreneurs and high-level policymakers, China Silicon Valley recently hosted a workshop on tax credits available to companies setting up shop in California. At the event, Brian Peck of the Governor Jerry Brown’s GO-Biz office detailed the plethora of pro-job and pro-innovation tax credits, such as the California Competes credit, offered to companies entering or expanding in California. Hosted at the Pillsbury Palo Alto office, China Silicon Valley members and guests had a chance to quiz Mr. Peck on the intricacies of the program and how to maximize their chances of success in applying.

Serving as the Deputy Director of International Affairs and Business Development at GO-Biz, Mr. Peck brought hands on experience and an inside perspective to the meeting while also soliciting feedback. Dialogue and networking opportunities at the event enhanced the experience for attendees, who included Chinese investors, local service providers and China Silicon Valley members.
