Legacy Nonprofit Expands National Leadership

Washington, D.C., July 25, 2024 – Sister Cities International announces Victor Wang of Palo Alto, CA, as a member of its new board of directors. Board members serve three-year terms on the 26-member board.

With a background in leadership roles at prominent firms Hanhai Investment and zPark Venture, Wang brings extensive experience in global business management and investment.

“Victor’s global business expertise makes him a valuable board member of Sister Cities International,” said incoming board chair Carlo Capua, from Fort Worth, Texas.

As an alumnus of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Wang has more than 20 years of experience across China, Japan, and the U.S. Fluent in Chinese, English, and Japanese, he sees collaboration opportunities on both sides of the Pacific.

“International leadership and cultural expertise make Victor a valuable asset to our organization,” said Dr. Ricki Garrett, interim president and CEO of Sister Cities International.

Sister Cities International, founded in 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, is the world’s oldest and largest volunteer network of citizen diplomats.
