David Haubert was first elected to the Dublin City Council in 2012, and elected Mayor in November 2014. Prior to his election to the City Council, David was a member of the Dublin Unified School District Board of Trustees for ten years, serving as President of the Board in 2009 and 2010.
His commitment to the community has included service on Alameda County Local Area Formation Commission (LAFCO), Anka Behavioral Health Inc. Board of Directors, Dublin Unified Soccer League Board of Directors, Hope Hospice Advisory Board, and Easter Seals Bay Area Finance Committee. He is also an active member of the Dublin Rotary and a volunteer for the Red Window Project, a non-profit committed to combating human trafficking.
An independent businessman, David has over twenty years of experience leading sales and marketing teams at national manufacturers, grocery retailers and solution providers throughout the county. Companies include Nestle, Pepsi-Co, Safeway and IBM. He now advises Fortune 500 companies in the consumer packaged goods and retail trades on how to expand their operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and an M.B.A. from UCLA.
David and his wife, Michele, have been married for 22 years and have three daughters.
