Laureen Turner

Vice Mayor of City of Livermore

Laureen Turner was elected to the Livermore City Council in November 2011. Prior to serving on the City Council, Laureen was active in the Livermore community, serving on the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District Board of Directors.

Councilmember Turner holds a Masters Degree in Nursing Education, a Masters Degree in Organizational Management and is currently completing a Doctoral Degree in Nursing. Laureen is a professor of nursing at the University of San Francisco.

Laureen is the chairperson of the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority Board. She also serves on the Alameda County Recycling Board, Alameda County Waste Management Authority, Altamont Landfill Community Monitor Committee, Tri Valley Affordable Housing Committee, Altamont Landfill open space account advisory committee, and the LARPD liaison committee.
